The thing the world is talking about: Apple’s new iPhone X and 8 series

After much anticipation and speculation about Apple’s new models, the Apple Inc recently released three new models iPhone 8, iPhone 8plus and iPhone X with interesting features and enhanced functionality.At the iPhone X launch event in the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s headquarters in California, Tim Cook, Apple Chief Executive revealed three new phones. While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8plus are upgraded versions of the previous models, iPhone X is another thing entirely.

Apple claims that iPhone X is the flagship phone you really want. They have eliminated some features and added some new. Say for example the glass and steel body with an edge-to-edge super retina display. The new iPhone X has left behind the tried and tested fingerprint lock and made for an innovative face detector to unlock your phone. Not only this, it can also be used to make quick payments. Having said this, it has also left behind the home screen button. Apple has finally accomplished it’s goal to create an iPhone that’s all display.

Power packed features

While the above features were only for iPhone X the wireless charging feature comes for all the 3 newly launched models of Apple.

The new Apple models are claimed to have increased battery life, with iPhone X running 2 hours more than iPhone 7; and iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus running 1 hour more. Another interesting feature is the animoji. It scans a user’s face with a facial recognition software and will match the user’s expression in a short animation. This limited collection of animoji includes hundreds of emoji like unicorn, monkey, pig, cat, dog, robot and pile of poo. You can actually put your voice in the mouth of a unicorn or dog. That’s animoji for you!

It is designed for wireless charging and will be compatible with AirPower, wireless charging pad set to release next year. With the wireless charging, your phone will get 50% charged in over 30 minutes. The 12 MP camera now comes with a new color filter and deeper pixels that creates striking studio quality lighting effects. Chip used is the powerful A11 Bionic and a CPU that is 70% faster. And how can we forget about Siri. Siri has become much smarter with giving intelligent suggestions in Messages, Mail, and QuickType.

To buy or not to buy?

However the major and primary issue is the cost. The new iPhone X is charged $ 300 more than the previous models of 7 and 7 plus which makes it about $999 for 64GB and $1,149 for 256GB. If you think this amount is too much so you can switch to iPhone 8 which is $699 only or choose iPhone 8plus which is $799 only. It is only available in 64 and 256 GB variants. iPhone is still a great deal to buy.
